Thermopolis Volunteer Firemen will be participating once again in the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) Fill the Boot campaign on Labor Day. For more than 60 years, fire departments across the country have been supporting MDA with more than 100,000 firefighters taking part in 2017, raising $24 million. On Saturday, September 8, more than 20 artists from around the Big Horn Basin will be painting on-location at Hot Springs State Park in Thermoplis during the inaugural Plein-Air Thermopolis. On April 2, 2017, Autumn Bansemer was at the spillway at Boysen Dam when she caught and landed a Game and Fish 27.5-inch walleye.
