    Last Saturday saw the Thermopolis Middle School’s final game this year, with a 34-16 win against Greybull. Coach Shane Corpening said the boys played really well and looked in good form, similar to their Sept. 29 game, and it was nice to play a lot of people. “I think everybody on our football team saw the field a lot.   • Bobcat robotics prepping for first competition

    The Hot Springs County High School Robotics teams have been busy with designing and developing their creations, with their first competition — a scrimmage hosted here — coming up on Nov. 10. Teacher London Jenks said the competition this year is utilizing cubes representing gold and whiffle balls representing silver.     Teams in the Hot Springs County Recreation District's Adult Co-ed Volleyball League finished their fourth week of games last week, with Gassed by Gottsche winning 27-25, 25-21 and 25-16 against TBD. Here 4 Exercise won their first game against How I Set Your Mother 25-16, but lost the remaining two 25-12 and 25-23. Here 4 Exercise was also bested by Owl Creek Graphics, 25-21, 25-13 and 25-23.     Thermopolis Middle School volleyball players had a busy week last week with games on Tuesday and Thursday and then the eighth grade B tournament here in Thermopolis on Saturday. Head coach Aimee Kay said the A team got another win on Tuesday against Greybull. “It was really nice to see them put it all together,” she said. “They played solid, high level volleyball and hopefully saw their own potential. Tammy Redland, head cook at the high school, said this week the students are taking an online survey to determine what their favorite lunch is, and that choice will be served next Wednesday.     The Hot Springs County High School Drama Club has been working hard on their Fall Showcase along with their procenium piece, in preparation for State Drama, Dec. 1 in Rock Springs. Drama Club director, Mary McGillivray said the students are working on a variety of pieces, both varsity and novice level, including monologues, duets and even some musical theatre pieces, solos and duets.
