The Gift of the Waters Historical Indian Pageant Parade is set for August 2 at 10 a.m., and the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce is looking for parade entries. Hot Springs County Fair is kicking off this week with shooting sports competitions on Thursday and Friday evening at the Bob Milek Range. Dwanye Pecks, age 91, of Thermopolis, Wyo., formerly of Madison, S.D., died on Friday, July 19, 2025, at the Thermopolis Wellness and Rehab Center in Thermopolis. Born on a farm in Lake County, S. With family by her side, Eileen Shaffer, 87, died of natural causes on July 7 at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyo. Eileen was born July 3, 1938, in Leeds, England, to Leonard and Lilian (Vennard) Naylor and had two older sisters, Freda (Stratford) and Joan (Woolford).
