    The freshman and JV girls basketball teams were pitted against the Worland Lady Warriors, and unfortunately, both teams came up short. The freshman girls came out ready to play, they just couldn’t get any shots to fall, losing to Worland, 29-58.     The Hot Springs County Rec District Adult Co-ed Basketball League saw its second round of games on Feb. 7. Carquest took on Merit, with Merit coming out on top with an 80-31 victory. Leading scorers were Hannah Varner with seven points for Carquest and David Evans with 23 for Merit. The victory puts Merit at 2-0 for the season, while their opponent is still looking for that first win. In the matchup between Vicklund Pharmacy and Hoosier Daddy, the pharmacy won 71-43.     The Hot Springs County Republican Party will hold its precinct caucus on Saturday, Feb. 17, beginning at 9 a.m. at the county annex. Registered Republicans are encouraged to attend to provide their participation and input. Sixty delegates to the County Convention will be chosen; 20 will be chosen for Precinct 1 and 3, and 10 each for Precincts 2 and 4.
