At the October 6 Town Council meeting, they approved the transfer of a liquor license as a housekeeping measure requested by the liquor division. During the September Travel and Tourism meeting for September, Matt Hughes, Treasurer reported that he changed the format of the financial reports and reduced redundant work in order to aid efficiency and times saving measures. The board already receives data from their account at Koerwitz et al. and they no longer have to recreate the reports. Cathy and Terry Titmus, owners of Performance Auto Wash, have recently upgraded their equipment to their facility and already business has increased. Their car wash equipment was outdated for some time and with customers using credit cards in addition to carrying cash, they needed their equipment to work with current technologies and payment methods. Jerry & Shelly Deromedi are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. They were married on August 28, 1970, but have known each other all of their lives. Shelly grew up in Kirby, and Jerry grew up in Gebo. Both their grandparents were miners in Gebo, and grandfathers were best friends. They happened to be high school sweethearts. During the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital board meeting, CEO Margie Molitor praised both Nina Landis and John Gibbel for their leadership during the recent roof leak. Molitor was on vacation during the leak which was caused by a major rainstorm. She said they kept the hospital operational even though they had to divert trauma patients that needed CT scans for a short period of time. The Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce recently reviewed their bylaws and made a variety of housekeeping changes. Mostly the language was cleared up, removing confusion or unnecessary verbiage. However, they did make a significant change to their calendar of terms and this was passed after a vote.
