Muench visits India on cultural immersion trip

Lauren Muench, right, with her good friend Annie Vande Hei rides an elephant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Muench describe the experience by saying that elephants are surprisingly hairy and, despite their huge size, it still takes some balance to stay on them. She said the elephants were trained to lay down so they could get on and then they would stand next to a fence post for them to stand on to get off.
