Linda Louise Coleman

1941-2024

Linda Louise Coleman passed away on February 25, 2024, surrounded by her family after an eight-year battle with Wegener’s Granulomatosis disease.

Linda was born in Caldwell, Idaho, on November 14, 1941, to Harvey and Louise (Kelly) Weeks. Her family moved to Bairoil, Wyo., before settling in Thermopiles, Wyo. Linda attended school in Thermopiles and later attended college at Casper College. During this time, she met and married the father of her three daughters, the late Micky Ford, who later divorced. They moved to Kelso, Wash. Linda worked for Dr. Kirkpatrick before going to work at Reynolds in the Human Resources Department where she worked for 33 years.

In 1978 she met and married the love of her life, John Coleman. Together they enjoyed many travel adventures, which included several cruises and visits to their favorite location, Kihei Beach in Maui, where they loved watching the sunsets together.

Linda was a lifelong devout Catholic. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and delivered communion too many. Linda’s legacy is that she never spoke a bad word about anyone, instead having grace by always finding the good, regardless of the behavior of others.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John; daughters, Gina Ford, Angela Sjoboen (Lauren) and Lisa Harris (the late Ed); stepdaughters, Tereasa Taylor (Mike) and Deborah Bakkensen (Drew); eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings, Gerry Powell, Connie Stahl and Janis Love; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and son-in law, Ed Harris.

In remembrance of Linda’s life, the family suggest a contribution be made to St. Vincent de Paul in her name.

A service will be held on Friday, March 22 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, located at 2200 Allen Street, Kelso, Washington, which will begin with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Fr Michael Barbarossa officiating. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
