Two land use issues to be considered at January meeting

On January 17, there will be two applications presented to the Hot Springs County Land Use Planning Commission at the Annex Building. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

One of the applications is from Daniel and Leila Porath, who are requesting a land use change from agricultural to commercial to allow the short-term rental of three cabins. The property is located in the Wind River Canyon at 1263 Highway 20 South.

The other application is from Jeffery Powell, who seeks the approval of a preliminary plat for a minor subdivision dividing a 37.64-acre parcel into five lots, changing from residential to commercial for the westernmost lot. The property is located south of Rimrock Drive.
