Chamber board discusses upcoming Moonlight Madness

At the September Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce board meeting, during old business CEO Meri Ann Dorman reported that for the August 12 Demolition Derby, they made a profit with about 1,100 tickets sold.  

Regarding the 2023 Get Out with Your Family Activity, Dorman reported that all but one of the buffalo dolls was found. Dorman added that will apply again for the Wyoming Children’s Trust Fund next year to do the program again. This year was their second time. 

Dorman also discussed the Chambers upcoming coming banquet on Saturday, October 7 at the HSC Fair Building.

In new business, the board discussed Moonlight Madness, which is on Thursday, October 26, starting at 6 p.m. They discussed ways to help organize the costume contest. They are preparing 300 Halloween bags.

The chamber board reviewed membership benefits. Winter hours begin October 1 and are Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. On November 2, there will be a Board Fundamentals Workshop from 12:30-4:30 p.m. in the conference room at Big Horn Federal. The cost is $15/per person for members and $20/per person for not yet members with the Wyoming Nonprofit Network.
