Johansen finalists in art competition

Jackson Hole Still Works (JHSW) has announced the finalists for their 2023 “Spirit of Wyoming” Vodka Label Art Competition. Eight finalist artists from eight different towns across Wyoming and Idaho have made the cut from an incredible array of entries.

The finalists for the next Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka label are: Sonja Johansen (Thermopolis, WY), Brooke Mack (Gillette, WY), Mae Orm (Pinedale, WY), James Overstreet (Cheyenne, WY), Cassidy Post (Alpine, WY), Leslie Schafer (Lander, WY), Ryan Stolp (Jackson, WY) and Brenda Swinney (Victor, ID)

The winning artist will be announced on Friday January 13 at 7 p.m. via a live Instagram broadcast (@jhstillworks) from the reveal party at Jackson Hole Still Works. Voting is currently live and is open to the general public via JHSW’s website (https://www.jhstillworks.com/spirit-of-wyoming-voting) or by stopping by the distillery in person.  Each vote costs $5, with all proceeds going to benefit the Wyoming Arts Council. Voting will remain open until 6:45 p.m. on January 13. Only one vote per person is allowed.

JHSW holds their annual Spirit of Wyoming art contest and fundraiser for their Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka label, with all proceeds supporting the visual arts in Wyoming.

This year, the 7th annual contest, they announced a partnership with the Wyoming Arts Council. The theme for the contest is, and will always be, “Wyoming.”

Winning original artwork will be awarded $2,000 and reproduced on the Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottle label for one year. Once the grand prize winner has been selected by the voting public, it will be entered into a silent auction for two weeks.  The remaining 7 runner-up pieces will be offered for sale at the artists’ discretion to further benefit the Wyoming Arts Council.
