How an angel came to be on top of a Christmas tree

A long time ago in the distant future, a cloud of gloom hovered beneath the North Pole. The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) went South for the Winter, reversing the Magnetic Poles and causing a chain reaction of bizarre circumstances.

Suddenly, Mrs. Santa was on the twelfth day of menopause. Everything she baked fell flat or burnt. As she grew grumpier by the day, there were no decorations or festive aromas nor cheerful atmosphere.

AS NOT ENOUGH – Rudolph was suffering with a serious head cold. He sneezed so hard that his nose popped off and shattered on ice. This set off eight other Reindeer in a constant bicker over who would lead Santa’s sleigh.

AS NOT ENOUGH – A runner on the sled was broken and the Elves were on strike, getting behind on the toy orders while Santa had to gather and cut his own firewood for the cabin since the power service had been turned off.

AS NOT ENOUGH – While Santa tried to read Christmas lists from kid’s letters by candlelight and his breath kept fogging his glasses, a knock came at the door. To his surprise, he was greeted by a small Angel carrying a rather large Christmas Tree. She gasped in excitement as she explained with joy, “Santa! I brought you this lovely tree all the way from the Aurora Borealis….by the way, it has a tag marked C.O.D. Where would you like me to stick it?!”
