Wyoming Whiskey anniversary party Saturday in Kirby

Wyoming Whiskey is celebrating 10 years since its first small batch of bourbon by having an anniversary party on Saturday, December 3. The party will be at the new location of their Satellite Store at 120 East Main Street in Kirby, the former site of Kirby Bar and Grill.

The anniversary party will be from noon until 8 p.m. There will be hayride distillery tours from noon until 3 p.m.

Justin Beasley and After the Rodeo Band will provide Live music. Food will be provided by We Got Your Six Portions and specialty cocktails will be available. Also, there will be samples and sales of the 10-Year-Anniversary Edition Bourbon. The festivity will include drawings and giveaways.

December 5, Wyoming Whiskey will be closed. According to Retail and Event Manager Amanda Moeller, “Between the move and gearing up for the party, it’s a lot of pressure on the staff because we’re trying to pack but not pack too much. The distillery guys have been a huge help… It’s kind of an all-hands-on-deck undertaking.”

Moeller reported that the majority of their business in November and December is online for Christmas shopping. In January and February, things slow down, but sales pick back up again in March and April. “Our retail sales have increased here in the shop by about 115% from 2019 until 2021.”

Additionally, Moeller said, “Now that our whiskey is nationwide, we get a lot of fans that make Wyoming Whiskey their destination for their vacation.” Most of Wyoming Whiskey’s customers are from out of state and some in-state.

Moeller also said about their local support, “Just how appreciative we are of the community, especially in the last couple of years that I’ve been out here. A lot of folks that didn’t know about us heard about us from somebody in town.”
