Your source for news in Hot Springs County
I am writing to express my concern that the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce and County Farm Bureau Federation did not live stream their sponsored Meet the Candidate Forum on September 28.
As we all know, there is a very important election this November. While many people out there may only be concerned about the presidential elections, we do need to pay attention to our local political candidates here at home.
The people of Hot Springs County are a hard-working group. Unfortunately, responsibilities to family, work, school and our beloved farms and ranches can sometimes come before being able to attend public events.
This year has been quite unprecedented due to the COVID pandemic. However, we have seen many organizations have the ability to live stream their services such as schools, religious centers, and even doctors’ offices. Whether one agrees with this or not, you cannot deny that the technology to live stream events is there via Facebook, YouTube, and other various formats.
I ask that our public servants please stay proactive in keeping the public informed and know that many citizens would love to hear from our local candidates even if we cannot attend public events in person.
Respectfully,
Nathaniel Rodriquez
