Thermopolis Independent Record - Your source for news in Hot Springs County

Spirit of tourism scavenger hunt

What does Hot Springs County mean to you? Say it with a photo! To kick off Tourism Week, Hot Springs County Travel and Tourism is hosting a photo scavenger hunt on their Facebook Page. Grab your camera and your family to take a drive around the county. You will have a chance to win $50 in Chamber Bucks and your photo published in the Independent Record. Six winners, one from each category.

Jackie Dorothy, Tourism Director said, “This photo contest is truly a celebration of the Spirit of Travel and of the diversity of our County. I encourage everyone to check out all the great entries so far and to be sure to enter as well.”

Travel and Tourism invites everyone. Show them your best photo of what Hot Springs County means to you. Both new and previously taken photographs are welcome. You may enter all six categories or just one for a chance to win. Be sure to mention in the comments which category you are entering.

It’s free to enter. The main rule is to have fun and showcase Hot Springs County. You have two weeks to submit your best work. The deadline is May 17.

Dorothy added, “This is a great family activity which is fun for all ages. Grab your camera and start hunting down the perfect photos - or go through memory lane and post a picture you have already taken that expresses what Hot Springs County means to you. The most important rule is to have fun!”

Remember, this is your interpretation of what Hot Springs County means to you.

The categories are as follows:

#1. Two Rivers in One

#2. Where the Buffalo Roam
