Raczon found guilty of trespassing

On Oct. 22, Megan L. Raczon was found guilty in Hot Springs Circuit Court of criminal trespassing and ordered to served 90 days in jail with 75 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines in the case are $205, and a second charge of violation of a temporary protection order was dismissed.

However, Raczon still faces felony charges in Hot Springs District Court of stalking, protection order violation , unlawful impersonation by electronic means and false reporting, in a case set for jury trial on Feb. 3.

According to court documents, Gotsche employee Erin Dyok obtained an ex parte protection order against Raczon on May 26, 2017, and on June 2, 2017 the court entered a formal protection order against Raczon, and she signed showing she received a copy of the order. That order was extended several times until it was allowed to expire in June of 2018.

Raczon, according to court documents, continued to stalk Dyok. On June 6, 2017, Raczon created a fake account and signed up for a large amount of items under Dyok’s name including contacts to purchase vehicles, dating sites and weight loss sites.

The same day, she alledgedly went to Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital and loitered in the hallway connecting the hospital to Gottsche. The following day she was found to be loitering in the same area again.

On June 8, 2017 Raczon reported to the Thermopolis Police Department that she had been running errands and found her tires had been slashed. She believed it was Dyok or one of her friends.

It was subsequently learned from the subject who fixed the tires that Raczon had been driving when she heard a “pop pop” sound.

Various other reports are listed in the charges of Raczon attempting to harass Dyok, including Dyok’s receiving an online friend request from herself and various online messages.

If found guilty on the district court charges, Raczon faces a penalty of 16.5 year in prison and fines totaling up to $16,750.
