Bike race planned in state park

The Hot City Outdoor Alliance will be sponsoring a Criterium Bike Race in the buffalo pasture on Saturday, October 12.

The race is a 1.63 mile, one-hour race that begins at 3 p.m.

There will be prizes for the top three winners in both the men’s and women’s divisions and is open to everyone, even if you’re not the racing type.

You don’t have to have a specialized racing bike to enjoy the event, have fun, get outside and enjoy the State Park. Even family and friends are encouraged to come watch anywhere along the route with ideal viewing at Monument Hill, Sneider’s Point or Smoky Row Cemetery.

You may register online through the Hot Springs County Recreation District and registration deadline is September 30.
