Important property tax deadline coming May 10

Homeowners should be aware the second-half of their property taxes are coming due May 10.

Your second payment must be in the treasurer’s office by the end of the business day, otherwise, they will be considered delinquent.

Veterans, or their surviving spouse, may not know they may be qualified for a Veteran’s Property Tax Exemption through the State of Wyoming. The due date for application for the exemption is the fourth Monday in May, or May 27 this year.

Applications are available at the County Assessor’s office. There are residency and asset restrictions, however, most in Hot Springs County would qualify.
