Gardening workshop planned for March 9

The Red Dirt Master Gardeners will present a free gardening workshop on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Library.

Guest speakers include: Dr. Caitlyn Youngquist, who will be speaking on soils and composting; Lonnie Ramsey, addressing growing in woodchips; and Karen Wedor, presenting on square foot gardening. Lunch will also be provided.

For those who want to get an early start on the spring gardening season, this workshop also provides opportunity to sign up for a plot at the community garden.
