Lady Cats rally against Worland

The Varsity Lady Cats took on age-old rivals the Lady Warriors of Worland on the road last Friday and unfortunately fell, 56-45.

The game was a tight one all the way through with the girls falling behind early before rallying to take the lead momentarily in the second quarter, finishing it knotted up at 23-all.

In a tough third quarter the girls trailed by six, and even though they battled through til the end, they still came up short.

The Lady Cats were led by McKenna Bomengen who scored a career high of 23 points against the Lady Warriors. She also added seven rebounds and three assists to her night.

Ashley McPhie chipped in 11 points for the night, including three 3-pointers, helping the Cats stay in the game.

Kaylee DeVries added five rebounds to help pace the team.

Tahja Hunt added four assists from the point position.

On the defensive side of the ball, Sesi Jensen lead the way with three steals as well as adding four points.

The Lady Cats can be found at home this Friday against the Lady Panthers of Powell.

They will then travel to Lovell on Saturday to take on the Lady Bulldogs.
