On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, April 25

5:28 p.m. A Social Security card was located and returned to its owner.

Friday, April 27

7:55 p.m. Report of harassment by electronic means. The complainant was told to take screenshots.

7:44 p.m. Report of a school bus broken down. The vehicle was fixed prior to the deputy’s arrival.

8:45 p.m. Report of camping on private property. The suspects could not be located.

9:24 p.m. Report of a gas drive off, four hours following the incident.

7:46 p.m. Report of a fire that damaged a stick of irrigation pipe.

Monday, April 23

8:23 p.m. While assisting the U.S. Marshals with the investigation into Jeremy Breeden, an officer arrested a female subject who resisted and struck an officer in the face. Samantha V. Vandervort was arrested for alleged interference of an officer and possession of meth.

Tuesday, April 24

7:47 a.m. A search warrant was executed on a home, and paraphernalia, controlled substances and stolen property were found.

8:11 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle near the elementary school.

5:11 p.m. Department of Family Services requested an assist to locate a subject.

Thursday, April 26

8:12 p.m. Subject turned in a bag of suspected marijuana.

10:14 p.m. Report of a found wallet.

Friday, April 27

10 a.m. Danny L. Ford was arrested for alleged third-offense possession of a controlled substance.

5:34 p.m. A search warrant was executed on a home. The search was consensual.

8:13 p.m. Report of a disabled tractor trailer at Sixth and Broadway. The driver and another subject were able to get the vehicle moving.

Saturday, April 28

1:48 a.m. Nathan M. Thomas was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

2:10 p.m. Report of an abandoned backpack, which was later claimed by its owner.

9:43 p.m. Report of a possible subject inside a vacant house. There was no subject found and no signs of forced entry.

Sunday, April 29

8:57 p.m. Caller reported a possible mountain lion near the terraces. No such animal was located.

9:01 p.m. Report of subjects fighting and smashing items. No subjects were located.

Monday, April 30

9:49 a.m. Report of found money, which was turned in to a bank.

10:03 a.m. Request for assistance in locating three missing juveniles. The subjects were found in Lander.

Circuit court

Aaron M. Bissonette was bound over to district court on two counts of applying pressure to the throat or neck, domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance and second-degree sexual assault.

Angel Tomlinson was found guilty of fraud by check under $1,000 and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $555. Restitution is $754.58.

Birth

Reuben Deke Heinze was born Friday, March 16, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Kendi and Fred Heinze of Thermopolis.

He weighed 7 pound, 3 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long.

Grandparents are Ken and Cheri Graves of Kaycee, Wyo., and Linda Heinze of Thermopolis. Great-grandparents are Ellen Galyan and Joann Jones of Thermopolis, Wyo.
