On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff’s office

Tuesday, March 27

10:53 a.m. Report of a vehicle dropping trash along the highway. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

12:14 p.m. Subject reported a fraudulent call from someone pretending to be from Social Security.

Wednesday, March 28

7:36 a.m. A bag was found containing meth pipes. There was nothing found to help locate the owner.

7:53 p.m. Report of a fight between two subjects. One subject left with a firearm but was later found.

Friday, March 30

4:51 p.m. Deputy assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol. The WHP trooper arrested Jessie Guardipee for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

9:28 p.m. Report of a juvenile leaving a home. The subject was later found by a parent.

Saturday, March 31

2:17 p.m. Deputy responded to an accident. A subject was injured and refused an ambulance, but planned to seek medical help on his own. The subject was assisted in getting home.

Monday, April 2

10:04 a.m. Report of a tractor trailer driving unsafely. No contact was made with the suspect vehicle.

10:18 a.m. Complainant reported a dog was chasing livestock. The owner of the dog was spoken to.

2:38 p.m. A male subject was found to be living in squalor, but stated his friends were coming to get him.

Police department

Tuesday, March 27

Several calls for service between 8:44 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. were in regard to nuisance yards.

8:44 a.m. Subject reported a scam call, in which she was accused of owing money.

10:48 a.m. Anthony J. Lippincott was arrested on a Natrona County warrant for alleged probation violation. Lipincott was found to be in possession of a device to falsify a urine analysis.

2:28 p.m. REDDI report, though the subject in question was gone when the officer arrived.

6:21 p.m. A wallet was found and sent to the owner, who lives in Colorado.

8:38 p.m. Officer assisted WHP with a possible intoxicated driver. The driver tested negative for alcohol.

11:31 p.m. Complainant reported loud music. Officer responded but was unable to locate the source as the music had been turned down.

Wednesday, March 28

11:27 p.m. A driver was stopped for having no plate light and no license.

Thursday, March 29

9:36 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance, which was unfounded.

Friday, March 30

1:45 p.m. A female subject requested vehicles be removed from a property.

2:35 p.m. Howard L. Haagensen was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

5:23 p.m. Officer responded to a fight behind the law enforcement center. James R. Arends was arrested for alleged public intoxication.

10:09 p.m. Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle. When the officer arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Sunday, April 1

4:37 p.m. Alicea R. Jones was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

Monday, April 2

3:09 p.m. Complainant reported he had received a scam phone call.

3:51 p.m. Reporting party said a dog had bit his nephew, and the animal’s rabies vaccination was overdue.

4:35 p.m. Shane L. Boren was arrested for alleged trespassing, breach of peace and interference with an officer.

Circuit court

Lance C. McClure was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance. Fees and fines are $955.

Justin C. Wareham was bound over to district court on charges of fourth-offense driving under the influence, driving without an interlock device and driving under suspension.

Jason Krueger was bound over to district court on third-offense possession of a controlled substance.

Christina Lackman was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and speeding too fast for conditions, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 147 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $820.

Anthony J. Lippincott was found guilty of being under the influence of a controlled substance and defrauding a drug and alcohol test, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 146 days suspension and six months supervised probation. Fees and fines are $830.

Birth

Abel Craig Eugene Pebbles was born Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Hannah and Kyle Pebbles of Wyoming.

He weighed7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long.

Grandparents are Craig and Kelly Jones of Wyoming and Chris and Terrie Pebbles of North Dakota and Florida.
