Wrestling club to host tourney

The Thermopolis Wrestling Club competed at the Buffalo Bill Showdown last weekend, placing fifth as a team.

In PeeWee, Sawyer Wilson placed third and Aksel Polson placed fourth in Division 35, and Talon Owsley placed first and Tucker Sayler placed second in Division 40.

In Bantam, Ryker Sayler placed third in Division 43, Brayli Price placed second and Cameron Martinez placed third in Division 45, Jack Toth placed sixth in Division 49, Samuel Johnson placed sixth in Division 52, Logann Farrell placed fourth in Division 56 and Trevin Shaffer placed fifth in Division 62.

In Intermediate, Dyllan Myers placed first and Alec Martinez placed fifth in Division 59, Chloee Owsley placed fifth in Division 67, Mack Buckner placed third in Division 71 and third in Division 77 and Cannon Boren placed fourth in Division 77.

In Novice, Haeden Blair placed second, Colter Price placed third and Jayssie Owsley placed fifth in division 82, and Brody Potter placed third in Division 98.

In Schoolboy/girl Division 71-83, Dalton Price placed third.

Also wrestling were Archer Price, Tanner Myers, Ben Farrell, Bain Lahoe, Winston Hogue, Jesalyn Blair, Caden Dodd, Tate Roberts and Kamryn Farrell.

The club will host their Wrestle-opolis folkstyle and freestyle tournament on Saturday, March 17 at Hot Springs County High School. Folkstyle wrestling will begin at 8 a.m. with freestyle to follow. Wrestlers must pre-register and pay through trackwrestling.com by Thursday, March 15 at 11 p.m.
