On the Record policy

Tuesday, February 14

10:02 p.m. Deputy responded to a report of an issue between a mother and son on East Sunnyside. The matter was deemed civil.

Wednesday, February 15

7:18 p.m. A civil standby was performed while a subject removed property from a residence.

Thursday, February, 16

5:03 a.m. Complainant reported someone might be breaking into a home. There were no signs indicating such, nor any suspect located.

12 p.m. Report of a semi with a blown tire on Highway 20 South. When a deputy arrived, a mechanic was handling the situation and there was no lane obstruction.

Saturday, February 18

10:26 a.m. A civil standby was provided.

5:15 p.m. Report of shoplifting from a business south of town. A juvenile was cited, and the matter was turned over to the county attorney.

Sunday, February 19

10:29 a.m. Caller reported a dead deer. It appears the animal was struck by a train.

1:26 p.m. Report of cows out on Highway 120. A deputy was unable to locate any animals.

2:20 p.m. Dustin Schepker was arrested for alleged probation violation.

4:39 p.m. Report of livestock out on Highway 120. Three bulls were located and the owner was notified so he could take care of them.

Monday, February 20

10 a.m. Complaint received about a subject believed to be camping overnight in the buffalo pasture. A deputy contacted the subject and explained this is not allowed.

9:02 p.m. Report of a dead antelope a quarter mile past the airport. The carcass was located and removed.

Tuesday, February 14

10:45 a.m. A civil standby was provided for Department of Family Services.

12:30 p.m. A juvenile was cited for possession of tobacco.

12:48 p.m. Report of a dog at large. The owner was contacted and cited.

Wednesday, February 15

9:59 a.m. Complainant reported being harassed via text messages and social media.

10:49 p.m. Assistance was provided to Wyoming Highway Patrol, as the trooper made a traffic stop in town.

Thursday, February 16

8:46 a.m. REDDI report on a vehicle. The vehicle was found and followed, but no signs of violations or driver impairment were noted.

9:44 a.m. Report of a stray cat wandering into a facility. Caller had captured the animal and planned to keep it until the owner was found. The vet clinic was also notified.

12:40 p.m. Animal control officer performed a follow up regarding a loose dog.

3:33 p.m. A dog wandered into a business, and the caller planned to keep the animal until the owner was found.

Friday, February 17

8:25 a.m. Traffic complaint at a crosswalk. The parties involved were contacted and interviewed.

9:13 a.m. Report of an unruly guest at a hotel. The subject was escorted from the premises.

9:14 a.m. A cat was trapped and taken to the vet clinic.

9:39 a.m. Report of two subjects in an altercation. Two subjects were located and it was determined one was in an argument with his father. Chris Cunningham was arrested on a Washakie County warrant.

6:01 p.m. Subject reported leaving a vehicle in front of a store, and finding it moved when he returned. The subject was spoken to about leaving keys inside the vehicle.

7:24 p.m. A stray cat was caught and impounded.

Saturday, February 18

2:47 p.m. Subject requested an officer in regard to separation of property. The matter was deemed civil.

8:47 p.m. Incident involving two people and the ownership of a dog. The parties knew the matter is a civil one, but wanted it on record.

9:20 p.m. Report of a loose dog. An officer could not locate the animal.

Sunday, February 19

10:06 a.m. Caller reported a couple thousand dollars missing from his online-only bank account. The subject contacted the bank to report the incident, and the matter is under investigation.

10:48 a.m. Reported vandalism to a vehicle, involving paint scraped off an area.

5:39 p.m. Complainant reported a speeding vehicle, which could not be located.

10:29 p.m. An 18-year-old subject was cited for possession and consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Monday, February 20

2:12 p.m. Report of juveniles misbehaving. A parent was contacted.

3:50 p.m. Subject requested others be escorted off his property. The subjects were escorted off and advised not to return as they could be cited.

4:01 p.m. Report of a loose dog.

Circuit court

Joshua Hoyer was bound over on a charge of manufacture or delivery of meth.

James Long was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, speeding, driver in possession of drugs and no record of duty status, and was sentenced to 10 days in jail. Fees and fines are $910.
