On the Record policy

Tuesday, January 31

1:22 p.m. Report from Bobcat Lane of a neighbor’s pigs which keep getting out. The owners were contacted and said they planned to pen up the animals better.

Wednesday, February 1

7 a.m. A civil standby was performed with no issues.

Thursday, February 2

12:51 p.m. Call from a concerned citizen regarding a subject who was riding a bike on the highway outside of town. The subject could not be located.

5:23 p.m. Accident in a business parking lot. Due to ground conditions, a vehicle attempting to turn slid and struck a parked vehicle.

Saturday, February 4

5:08 p.m. Call was received concerning a vehicle. The vehicle was later stopped and the driver was cited for expired registration.

6 p.m. REDDI report on a vehicle on Highway 20 South. The vehicle could not be located.

Police department

Tuesday, January 31

4:10 a.m. Caller believed someone was in her house. An officer verified there was nobody else on the premises.

2:39 p.m. A found dog was taken to the vet clinic.

8:33 p.m. Complainant reported receiving threatening text messages. The matter was deemed civil.

Friday, February 3

1:33 p.m. Officer assisted Department of Family Services with a urine analysis.

1:55 p.m. Complainant called in a traffic offense. Suspect vehicle could not be located.

Saturday, February 4

9:14 a.m. Caller reported tires on a vehicle being slashed. There were no suspects.

Sunday, February 5

11:11 a.m. Hypodermic needles were found in the street. An officer collected and disposed of them.

6:35 p.m. A traffic stop was performed, during which Shealene Dorothy was arrested for driving under the influence.

10:01 p.m. Michael Ramsey was arrested for alleged driving under the influence, following a traffic stop.

Monday, February 6

8:31 a.m. A female subject was exiting a parking space and struck another vehicle.

5:06 p.m. A found dog was taken to the vet clinic.

6:17 p.m. Report of a barking dog. The owner was contacted and agreed to take the dog inside.

7:13 p.m. A REDDI report was received, though the suspect vehicle could not be located.
