Friday, November 25

10:16 p.m. Smoke investigated in the 400 block of Arapahoe.

Monday, November 28

5:16 p.m. Structure fire on East Sunnyside. The call later turned out to be a false alarm.

Sheriff’s office

Monday, November 21

1:53 p.m. Report from mile marker 47 on Highway 120 of a vehicle passing on the double yellow and on curves, and speeding. The vehicle could not be located.

4:40 p.m. Complainant stated she had recently moved here, and her credit card information was taken in another state, and purchases had been made totaling more than $1,200.

10:15 p.m. Complaint of harassment in the Kirby area. Neither the caller nor the alleged harasser was available, though a follow-up is planned.

4:15 p.m. Report of cows out on West Sunnyside. The animals were put away by the people caring for them.

5:39 p.m. Deer vs. car accident at mile marker 136 on Highway 20. There were no injuries, but subjects were transported to the courthouse to make other arrangements home.

Wednesday, November 23

6:39 p.m. Complainant stated a vehicle was parked on his property and he wanted it removed. The owner was contacted and removed the vehicle.

9:53 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle was parked with its lights shining into his house. The vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.

Monday, November 28

8:08 a.m. Assistance requested for a cattle drive crossing on Highway 20. The Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol assisted.

4:59 p.m. Report of a car vs. deer accident at mile marker 137 on Highway 20. Though it appeared there was no damage to the vehicle, the deer was injured and had to be put down.

Police department

Thursday, November 17

9:56 p.m. Officer responded to a domestic dispute. During investigation it was discovered a party, Shane Boren, had a Fremont County warrant against him and he was arrested.

Monday, November 21

12:38 p.m. Caller reported an unknown dog in the yard. The owner came and picked up the animal.

Tuesday, November 22

11:18 a.m. Welfare check on a female subject who was found at her home.

3:24 p.m. Subject reported she had a Social Security refund application containing personal information stolen from her vehicle.

Wednesday, November 23

12:54 p.m. Report of a male subject who had approached two juveniles in a store parking lot and asked them if they wanted a ride. The juveniles said no, and reported the incident. Officers reviewed video from the business, but did not see anyone matching the description given by the juveniles.

6:16 p.m. A subject staying at a motel was walking his dog and reported another domesticated dog attacked his. The dog received no serious injuries, and the party watching the aggressive dog was advised the animal needs to be registered.

Thursday, November 24

7:22 a.m. Report of an injured deer. The animal was put down.

9:22 a.m. Caller was concerned of a subject who was last heard from in Shoshoni, on his way to Powell. Officers were unable to locate a vehicle in town fitting the description given by the caller.

Friday, November 25

5:03 p.m. Report of a quarter of a cord of wood stolen.

7:34 p.m. Party reported a dispute with a neighbor regarding a parking area.

Saturday, November 26

7:35 a.m. Report of a black cat with its head stuck in a can. The cat’s head was freed, and the animal ran off.

10:34 a.m. Caller reported a stray, emaciated dog. The dog was impounded.

12:19 p.m. Report of a phone scam.

6:11 p.m. Caller was concerned for a male subject at a business who was not responding properly. The subject’s family was contacted and told where he could be found.

6:43 p.m. Report of a lost wallet.

7:55 p.m. Report of a lost dog.

Sunday, November 27

10:43 a.m. Caller reported a dog was tied to a light pole. The owners initially could not be contacted. However, after the dog was impounded the owners contacted the police and apologized for tying the dog up but the place they were staying would not allow animals.

10:45 a.m. Civil standby was requested for a child exchange for visitation.

3:39 p.m. REDDI report on a vehicle. An officer observed a vehicle matching the given description and followed it, but did not observe any indicators of impaired driving.

Monday, November 28

2:42 p.m. A subject was stopped and cited for driving under suspension and having no insurance.

Circuit court

Seth White was found guilty of breach of peace, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 29 days suspension and six months supervised probation.
