Keys to the City campaign set to start

The annual Keys to the City promotion, which was slated to begin last month, is anticipated to begin Dec. 5. During the event, travelers who stay at Thermopolis hotels are provided key chains, which in turn provide those visitors with a variety of discounts at participating businesses.

At the October meeting of the Travel and Tourism Board, Director Amanda Moeller noted at least nine new businesses have signed up to participate in Keys to the City this year, and nearly all of the businesses are on board.

However, due to an issue with shipping, the key chains have not yet arrived, though Moeller anticipates they will be here Dec. 5, if not before. Though the promotion will begin much later than Nov. 12, as originally planned, Moeller said it would go longer.
