Girls cross country first at Riverton

The Girls Varsity Cross Country team brought home first place from the Berry Bryant Invite at Riverton.

Coach Brenna Abel stated, “Our varsity girls had a great day in Riverton. We had excellent running conditions and a flat course which did allow our teams to run well.” Abel further noted Elizabeth Rhodes had a great day with a career personal record of 25:41, as did Olivia Weyer, with a time of 23:57. Stacy Lewis also posted her fastest time of the season, 23:10.

“Jules [Ward] was trying to help pull her teammate thru the 2nd mile on pace — she did a great job modeling this for our underclassmen,” Abel stated.

As for the middle school team, Abel stated, “We had a great day with lots of PR's for the season. Our MS girls team is doing a great job with limited space between them.”

Other teams competing included Lander, Riverton, Mt. View, Wyoming Indian and Arapaho.
