Glow Golf Tourney fundraiser

A Glow Golf Tournament will be at 6 p.m. June 11 at the Thermopolis Golf Course. Registration will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a silent auction at 7 p.m. The golf tournament will begin immediately following dinner.

The cost for a team to participate in the Glow Golf Tournament will be $200. This price includes dinner, golf, cart and glow gear.

“The proceeds from this event will cover the Hot Springs County High School Golf Team costs and camps,” Hot Springs County High School Golf Coach Jake Smith said.

The format of the game will be a nine hole ambrose scramble, which means there will be a four person scramble with team handicap. The course will have six inch cups, instead of the usual four inch cups to make it easier to sink the ball into the hole, according to Smith.

The silent auction part of the event includes a pair of Oakley’s donated by Thermopolis Eye Care and a guided fishing trip.

Registration has been extended through Friday, June 10. The tournament calls for 15 paid teams to participate. Smith said there is still room for six more paid teams.

“I appreciate all of the support we have received from the community,” Smith said. “We are happily still accepting donations for the silent auction and sponsorships for the teams.”
