Burnell named PRCA rodeo queen

The third annual Boots and Buckles Ball is set to take place on Feb. 6, promising fun for you and your entire family.

The ball is free for everyone and will feature a social hour starting at 5 p.m., a free dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the Queen coronation and auction and dancing. The Rewinders will be in attendance to play tunes for all the dancers in the community.

The event is free and all donations and proceeds from the auction will go to the Rodeo Queen program to keep the Queen and PRCA Rodeo a staple of Thermopolis summers.

This year’s queen is Devon Burnell, who is queen for the second year in a row. Participants in the program must take part in a competition similar to a beauty pageant in which riding skills are also taken into account. The Queen will be Thermopolis’ representative at state PRCA events.

The PRCA Rodeo will take place on June 24 and 25, with the opening event taking place on Thursday the 23rd.
