Friends of NRA banquet Sept. 18

Friday September 18 is the 8th annual Friends of NRA Banquet. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m.

There will be good food, games and lots of prizes. Tickets are being sold at White Horse Country Store, Thermopolis Hardware, The Story Teller, and Grumpy’s BBQ or call Paul Garbin at 921-8304. Tickets are limited so hurry to get yours. They are $35 each for adults and $25 each for 14 & under.

This is a chance to be part of an event that has been giving back to the community for almost a decade. Their fundraising has given back several thousands of dollars ranging from grants to increase firearm safety to helping the local 4-H chapter with shooting events. Friends of the NRA want to increase awareness for firearm safety and education for everyone.

The food will be catered by Grumpy’s BBQ serving brisket and smoked salmon. There will be firearms, art, and memorabilia not to mention several donated items from the community. Celebrating Wyoming’s 125th anniversary of statehood there will be a table with items associated with the state. With twenty plus firearms for prizes, the odds are one in ten you could win.
