Final HSSP Master Plan open house

The final Hot Springs State Park Master Plan open house, which allows community members to voice their opinions on the plan that will shape the next 20 years of Hot Springs State Park, will be held on September 14.

The Master Plan is currently in its draft stage, which has thus far has been formulated with input from the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails (SPHST) and the park staff; a steering committee; and the general public.

According to the SPHST, the plan establishes a vision to address issues related to thermal water allocation, resource protection, recreation potential, and partnership development to revitalize the park as a premier health, wellness, and outdoor destination.

Notes from the first two open houses, which were held on January 26 and May 11, are available on the Hot Springs Master Plan’s website.

The meeting will take place at the Hot Springs County Fire Hall from 6-8 p.m.
