FFA students shine at state fair

Several FFA students competed at the Wyoming State Fair. Results include:

Logan Bartholomew entered 19 agronomy at state fair and his cross bred senior gilt. He received numerous blue ribbons for his plant samples. He plans to attend next year with two gilts and a boar.

Rebecca Clouse took her red market steer to the state fair.  She showed him in the WVATA Jackpot and in the Youth Market Steer Show. She also exhibited 8 agronomy samples and was very successful.  She plans to add a heifer to her program next year.

Strite Daniels took his Grand Champion Market Steer to state fair.  He won his class in the Maine Steer show, and made the cut in the FFA Showmanship placing 6th overall. He also won his class and ended up reserve in his division with his market heifer. 

Katelyn King took her Quarter Horse mare to compete in halter and in FFA Showmanship.  She did an excellent job representing the FFA Chapter.

Barbra Jean Kissel took her Champion Market Lamb to the state fair.  She competed in the Champion of Champions show.  She also showed in the WVATA jackpot and the Youth Market Show.

Taylor Nuttall took her Palomino mare to the state fair.  She competed in Senior Western Pleasure, and Trail.  Taylor won Reserve Champion with her mare.

Jessie Pennoyer entered 20 Agronomy exhibits and two classroom projects this year.  She received several first and second places with her plants, and was second with her classroom project about Embryo Transfer. She showed her Hereford heifer in the open and junior breeding beef show, placing seventh and fifth respectively in her classes. Jessie also attended a dinner for Future Cattle Producers of Wyoming.  She has been selected through this program to receive a donated heifer from Durbin Creek Ranch. 

Liz Rhodes showed two market hogs and a cross-bred breeding gilt. She also showed in the jackpot and represented the chapter in swine showmanship

Katlyn Schmuck showed two chickens and represented the chapter in Chicken Showmanship.  She received a blue ribbon for showmanship. She also exhibited 15 agronomy exhibits.

Dreama Thorpe showed her blackface market lamb and had 14 agronomy exhibits.

Tyne Vilapando did not attend the state fair, but sent 11 agronomy exhibits and was able to secure numerous red and blue ribbons.
