Needham to join St. Paul Luthern Church

Rev. Samuel J. Needham will be installed as the new Lutheran pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church on June 7 at 4 p.m.

Pastor Needham grew up in Boise, Idaho graduating from Boise State University in 1995 with a degree in construction management. For ten years he worked in the construction industry, managing projects in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Lake Tahoe area. In 2004 he enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind. He served his vicarage at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Port Charlotte, Fla., and graduated from the seminary in 2009.

Pastor Needham received his first Call to Concordia Lutheran Church in Vermillion, S.D., where he served that congregation as well as the campus ministry at the University of South Dakota.

Pastor Needman and his wife, Michal, were married in 2003 in Wheaton, Ill. She grew up in southern Illinois and graduated from Concordia University—River Forest. She is a stay-at-home mom. They have five children: Jonah, age 10; Seth, 8; Ruth, 5; Julia, 3; and Zeke, 1. The Needhams enjoy books, movies, games, and recreational sports and outdoor activities.
