    Hot Spring County’s unemployment rate decreased slightly between January and February 2015, based on information from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services. From March to April of this year, unemployment in the county has decreased from 5.1 percent to 4.5 percent. The unemployment rate is back at the same mark it started at in January of this year.     An emergency contract totalling nearly $200,000 has been approved for cleanup of mud slides and big rocks near U.S. 20/Wyoming 789 inside Wind River Canyon, according to Wyoming Department of Transportation District 5 maintenance engineer Pete Hallsten of Basin.     Mother Nature reared her ugly head over Memorial Day weekend, bringing rain to the Big Horn Basin, which created unstable conditions in Wind River Canyon south of Thermopolis.     The Thermopolis Town Council approved a contract Tuesday to have Carr Coatings of Lovell do painting repairs to the Cedar Ridge tank at a cost of $98,925.     The Travel and Tourism Board approved offering a renewed one-year contract to Cowgirl Consulting to the tune of $42,500, a five percent increase according to state park superintendent Kevin Skates.
