The anxiety stems from the fact that school districts have discretion in how to spend the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds distributed to districts from the CARES and American Recovery and Reinvestment acts.     Hot Springs County Weed and Pest will be hosting a Natural Resource Tour on Tuesday, June 29 beginning at 9 a.m. Participants are asked to meet at the Weed and Pest office at 711 Springview St. There will be a on site tour of resource management projects and an on site history of Gebo.     At the June 16 Hot Springs County Travel and Tourism board meeting, new Treasurer Audra Dominguez gave the financial report. For the month of May they received $15,097.58 in lodging tax income and $4.41 in interest income. This amount was a record high for a monthly lodging tax income. Compared to 2019/20, during Covid, May was $4,838.18 and 2018/20 was $10,525.31. For the past 11 months ending May 31, the lodging tax income is $162,506.86.     Thermopolis and a large part of Wyoming has scene record high temps this week as a heat wave hit that sent temperatures into the triple digits. On Monday, June 14 the recorded high in Thermopolis (according to the National Weather Service) was 101. On Tuesday, at press time (5 p.m.) the recorded high had hit 103.
