    Two events will be held at the Thermopolis Middle School on Saturday, Nov. 20 There will be the Chair-ity/Christmas Tree Auction, a benefit for the People for People Backpack Program, held in the Commons area. The Auction begins at 9 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m.. Proceeds go to support the program, helping to provide meals on the weekends for kids in our community.     The People for People program and other local volunteers will be preparing Thanksgiving meals this year. However, they will not have eat-in meals at Holy Trinity Church. They will be preparing the food, packaging and delivering the meals to their People for People families and anyone that needs a meal. Sign-up sheets are at the Help Center and the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce. They aim to have meals out by 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. People for People is seeking volunteers to help.     Dawn Peil is the new 4-H Educator at the UW Extension Office. Peil grew up here in the 4-H and FFA programs and she has always been involved in ag. Prior to this new position, she spent around 19 years at the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Peil said, "when this opportunity opened up, it just seemed like a good fit.     Wyoming gas prices fall by almost 5 cents CHEYENNE (WNE) — Wyoming gas prices have fallen 4.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.41 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s daily survey of 494 stations in Wyoming. Gas prices in Wyoming are 2.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, and stand $1.28 per gallon higher than a year ago.     At the November 2 Thermopolis Town Council meeting, during citizen participation Chamber CEO Meri Ann Rush presented a street closure request for their Christmas Parade Saturday, December 11.     CEO Garry Freel is retiring from Big Horn Enterprises (BHE) after being associated with them for around 32 years. Freel started out as a case manager in August 1989, then a year later he became the director of rehab. In 1994, Freel left BHE for three years to work at the Children's Center.
