She is running against Liz Cheney. Hageman has been endorsed by President Donald Trump and for his MAGA part of the Republican party. Slide stabilization work has been completed adjacent to US20/WY789 between Shoshoni and Thermopolis at the north edge of the Upper Wind River Campground. The Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office has been handling several fraud cases and wants to help educate the public to be aware of fraud scams before they become a victim. Deputy Casey Freund has been involved in four fraud cases so far this year and, depending on the case, has been collaborating with the FBI in their investigations. Charlie and Kim Smith recently opened a new cafe restaurant at the stoplight, the 7 Lazy S Cafe. It’s located in the old Elle’s Restaurant and Bar/Thermopolis Cafe location at 109 South 6th Street. The name 7 Lazy S comes from Charlie’s brand when he ran cows. They serve a traditional American cafe menu. Hours are 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays. Smoking Waters Barber Shop welcomes newly licensed Ray Monasmith to the barber business. He and his wife Kristen own the barbershop. Together they are increasing their ventures to serve the people of Thermopolis. HSH CFO Shelly Larson and Business Officer Director Larinda Bushur said, “Effective December 1 HSH made a change in patient responsibility billing partners. At the December 7 Hot Springs County Commissioners meeting, the commissioners held a public hearing regarding Resolution 2021-08, fiscal year 2021-22 Budget Amendment No. 1. The resolution reflected the Big Horn Basin Nature and Discovery (BHBND) WYDOT Tap Grant for $100,000 and also some unanticipated revenue for a jail overpayment for $4,537. At the December 7 Thermopolis Town Council meeting, during citizen participation, CPA Michael Wright presented the Town Audit to the council. Wright said the results were almost the same as last year. Wright also informed the council that he is retiring at the end of the year and that his firm will no longer be performing audits. Coach Deromedi lead the boys team to four Championships using hard work, data analysis, team competitions, and laughter. He believes in simplicity and data analysis of strategies for his Bobcats. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church members will be preparing Christmas Meals this year. They will not have eat-in meals at the church. They will be preparing the food, packaging, and delivering the meals to their People for People family and anyone that needs a meal.
