    Risen Son Christian School will be holding a Spaghetti Feed and Auction Fundraiser Friday, April 15 at the Hot Springs County Fair Building. Dinner and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a live auction at 6:30 p.m. The event will also feature Thermopolis’ Second Annual Cupcake War. Competitors will bring their best looking and best tasting cupcakes. Sandi works locally as a substitute teacher for the Hot Springs County School District as well as helping with the People for People Backpack Program.     Ash Whitt and Jeanne Waring hosted a ranch sorting event April 2-3 at the Hot Springs County fairgrounds. Sorting involves two-person teams who must sort numbered cattle into a pen in order. The weekend saw competition on horseback, as well as stick horse. Whitt and Waring hold monthly events beginning in November, which bring in people from across the state to stay in town for the two-day competition.     Relay for Life of Hot Springs County will host the first ever Drift and Drive Tournament, in memory of Helen Davis and Eddie Brister April 30-May 1. The tourney allows for two-person teams made up of two adults, two children or one of each. However, the top prize of $1,500 and runner up of $500 are only available to teams of adults.     The Hot Springs County High School handed out academic letter awards on Monday night at a ceremony at the school. Cortney O’Conner, high school counselor, said in order to qualify for an academic letter, students must be on any of the three honor rolls for two consecutive semesters.
