Ash Whitt and Jeanne Waring hosted a ranch sorting event April 2-3 at the Hot Springs County fairgrounds. Sorting involves two-person teams who must sort numbered cattle into a pen in order. The weekend saw competition on horseback, as well as stick horse. Relay for Life of Hot Springs County will host the first ever Drift and Drive Tournament, in memory of Helen Davis and Eddie Brister April 30-May 1. The tourney allows for two-person teams made up of two adults, two children or one of each. However, the top prize of $1,500 and runner up of $500 are only available to teams of adults. The Hot Springs County High School Robotics Team attended a Super Regional competition in Oakland, Calif. over the weekend, where they placed 32 out of 36.
