Ralph Witters Elementary fourth graders, split into two separate trips, visited Yellowstone National Park. The first trip was April 15-18 and the second trip was April 29-May 2. The Thermopolis Gymkhana series will start Sunday, May 1 at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds. The gymkhana features fun events for horseback riders up to the age of 18. Events include barrels, poles, a flag race, goat tying, dummy roping and an egg race. Age groups will be lead line (5 and under), peewee (6-8), junior (9-13) and senior (14-18). Terry Sani participated in the ArtStroll Friday evening with his Cardbirds & Creations. Sani said he has lived in Thermopolis for eight years. Originally from California, Sani built his first cardbirds in 1995 to use as dove decoys for dove hunting. His artwork has evolved from there.
