Hot Springs County School District No. 1 students who will be participating in sports during the 2016-17 school year are encouraged to have their physical examinations performed from June 1-Aug. 1 at Red Rock Family Practice. The Wyoming State Association of Letter Carriers is hosting a Randy Maxwell Memorial MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) Miniature Golf Tournament beginning at 6 p.m. for individuals and 7 p.m. for teams June 2 at Dairyland Putt-Putt. Hot Springs County Friends of the NRA will be holding a Wall of Guns fundraising event Friday, May 20 from 5:30-9 p.m. at One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company. A banner will be displayed showing the over 20 guns available to be won in the drawing. Tickets are $10. The days of taking a carriage ride through the park or the historic downtown will return, with some help from Amé Longwell. The Thermopolis Town Council approved of Longwell's idea to provide carriage rides during their May 2 meeting, and already she's seen plenty of interest. Cindy Toth will present a program called “Gardening Then and Now” during the Hot Springs County Historical Society meeting Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. at the museum. The Casper Civic Chorale (CCC) will be performing a free concert on Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at the school auditorium. The Thermopolis Post Office is gearing up for the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Saturday, May 14.
