    The school year’s winding down, the weather finally looks like it’s made up its mind to warm up quite a bit more and summer is officially a few weeks away. To celebrate, Stones Throw Restaurant and Bar, along with the Thermopolis Golf Course, will host a Kickoff to Summer 2016 on Saturday, June 4.     Wyo. Quarter Horse Ranch held an auction Saturday at the fairgrounds. Horses were sold to 22 different states, with Colorado purchasing the most. Wyoming followed, and then Idaho. The highest selling horse was a gelding from Lot 37 named NickInTheBudget. It sold for $32,000 to an individual from Colorado. The horse belonged to Woody Bartlett.     Hot Springs County School District No. 1 students who will be participating in sports during the 2016-17 school year are encouraged to have their physical examinations performed from June 1-Aug. 1 at Red Rock Family Practice.
