Thermopolis Middle School will be holding their annual Veterans Day Celebration this Friday, starting at 9:30 a.m. The middle school student council puts together a program to celebrate the veterans each year, but with Veteran’s Day falling on a Sunday, the program was pushed back to this Friday so all could attend. For the second year, the Salvation Army will be bell ringing in Thermopolis through the Ministerial Association. Beginning on Dec. 1 and running through the four Saturdays up to Christmas, the volunteer bell ringers can be found at different locations around town from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. All of the funds raised will be kept in Hot Springs County to help with things like utility bills for those in need. The local Boy Scouts troop, Troop No. 5053, has been inactive for a couple years, but in recent months there has been a revitalization happening with the service organization.
