    Woman charged with hit-and-run in Cody CODY (WNE) — Jennifer Christen Phillips, 40, of Cody, pleaded not guilty Friday to hit-and-run charges after she allegedly struck an 11-year-old on a bicycle. She also pleaded not guilty to one count of failing to yield the right of way in a crosswalk.     The first month of school has gone by and IR staff was finally able to catch up with the nine new teachers hired for the 2022-23 Hot Springs County School District so that we can introduce them to our readers. Jennifer Beamer, Early Childhood, Ralph Witters Elementary Beamer taught 1st grade in Laramie, Wyoming, at Linford Elementary for eight years.     On June 17, 2022, Sgt. Mike Mascorro of the Thermopolis Police Department (TPD) received information about a large load of methamphetamine arriving in Thermopolis. The Thermopolis Police Department subsequently conducted an extensive investigation and set up a Sting Operation in an effort to intercept these drugs.
