    Tawnya Rush, graduate of Hot Springs County High School, now works in Billings, MT at KTVQ. Rush, Executive Producer of News, recently took home an Emmy Award for the station’s 5:30 newscast “Wild Wind on Turkey Tuesday.” This competition includes stations from Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington State.     Roughly 170 people attended the HSC Senior Center Prime Rib Dinner fundraiser on Saturday. There were ample opportunities to participate in and promote the center in their fundraising efforts and many of these opportunities are ongoing.     The local organization of Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) will hold its Field Day on Saturday, June 25 from 12 noon until 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 26 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Hot Springs State Park Kiwanis Shelter.   • Bystander CPR course offered Saturday

    Hot Springs Health is holding the Thermopolis Bystander CPR Course on June 18 at the hospital with multiple time slots available. The course will be presented by Dr. Megan Olson and was inspired by Emma Dorman’s story and developed to promote CPR in our community.   • Bryant receives grant to offer documentary photography courses

    Barrie Lynn Bryant, a 27 year resident of Kirby, has been awarded a $24,473 grant by the Wyoming Arts Council for photography. Bryant will produce a documentary photography field work and teaching project that aims to assess, reveal, and offer solutions to pressing needs within Bighorn Basin communities.
