Casey Bob Bybee

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Casey Bob Bybee, age 35, of Marathon, Fla., who passed away on July 31, 2026. Casey was born on April 13, 1991, in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Brian Howard Bybee and Laloni Jo Stephenson.

Born and raised among the beautiful mountains of Wyoming, Casey carried his love for the outdoors throughout his life. His journey eventually led him to the turquoise waters of the Florida Keys, where he made his home in Marathon. Though life took him from the mountains to the ocean, Wyoming was always a part of who he was.

Above all else, Casey was a devoted father. His son, Bentley "Bean" Bybee, was his greatest pride and joy, the center of his world, and his most cherished blessing. There was nothing Casey loved more than being Bean's dad. He was also a proud uncle who adored his nieces and nephews, always ready to make them laugh, encourage them, and create memories they will carry with them forever.

Casey was blessed to find the love of his life, Cheyenne Bybee. Their love brought him immeasurable happiness, and on June 27, 2026, they were united in marriage, surrounded by hope for the future and a deep love for one another. Their time together, though far too short, was filled with love that will endure forever.

Anyone who knew Casey knew where to find him whenever he had free time, with a fishing rod in his hand. Fishing wasn't simply a pastime; it was where he found peace, reflection, and happiness. Whether casting into a Wyoming lake or the warm waters of the Atlantic, those moments brought him closer to the people he loved and to the beauty of God's creation.

Football was another passion that defined Casey's life. He loved the game, but his greatest joy came from coaching. He dedicated countless hours to mentoring young athletes, teaching them not only football but also confidence, perseverance, teamwork, and integrity. His influence reached far beyond the field.

Life brought Casey many challenges, yet he met them with determination and resilience. Through every season, he continued to love deeply and care fiercely for those around him. His heart was as vast as the ocean he came to love, filled with compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Casey will be remembered for his infectious smile, his unmistakable laugh, his loyalty, his willingness to help anyone in need, and his ability to make others feel welcome. The love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone blessed to know him.

Casey is survived by his beloved wife, Cheyenne Bybee of Marathon, Fla.; treasured son, Bentley "Bean" Bybee of Croghan, N.Y.; sister, KayLoni Bishop of Buffalo, Wyo.; brother, Travis Cook of Casper, Wyo.; mother and stepfather, Laloni and Billy Flinn of Kirby, Wyo.; father and stepmother, Brian and Brigette Bybee of Baker City, Ore.; stepsons, Brayden and Loghan Cardinell from N.Y.; grandfather, Bob Stephenson of Thermopolis, Wyo.; grandmother, Sharon Bybee of Oregon; along with many beloved nieces and nephews and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved niece, BrynnLey Blair; nephew, Hagen Warden; aunt, Kandi Maylene Wilkinson; grandmother, Patricia Arlene Stephenson; grandfather, Larry Bybee; great-grandparents, Howard Painter, Velma and Steve Stephenson, and Margaret and John Depew.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing Casey's love lives on through Bean, Cheyenne, his family, the young athletes he coached, and every life he touched. From the rugged mountains of Wyoming that shaped him to the peaceful ocean in Florida that became his final resting place, Casey's spirit will forever be found in every sunrise, every football game, every cast of a fishing line, and every moment spent with those we love.
