Lindon Lou Quinn

Lindon Lou Quinn, 87, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2026.

Born in Martin, S. D., she finished high school in Salina, Kan., and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. She married John Thomas Quinn on June 10, 1957, and they remained married for 58 years. After Tom completed his degree in Fire and Timber Management at Utah State, they began their life together and moved to Sunlight Basin, Wyo. There, Lindon began painting and exploring other art forms. She was published on Leanin' Tree greeting cards and was a prolific painter who continued to paint throughout her life. Tom's career in the US Forestry Service took them to numerous assignments and adventures; they spent most of their retirement in Sheridan, Wyo. In Thermopolis, Wyo., her final home, she loved the scenery, the hot springs, and the community. She loved her house, yard, and her dogs, especially her Boston terrier, Dell. She worked with many organizations and was active in the Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John (Tom) Quinn; mother, Della Rockhold; sister, Wilma Jean Loder; brother, Charles (Pug) Hutchings; and many beloved friends.

She is survived by her sons, John D. Quinn and Daniel Max Quinn; sister, Amy Hutchings; nephews, Mitch Loder and David Ross; grandchildren, John F. Quinn, Jacob Quinn, Michael Quinn, Jessica Quinn, and Megan Quinn; and her great-grandchildren, John L. Quinn, James (Finn) Quinn, Adelyn Quinn, Oliva Quinn, Grant Quinn, and Edward T. Carsetti.

She will be greatly missed. A memorial will be held at a later date with close family, per her wishes.
