1947-2026
Roberta "Bobbi" Ann France Miller, 79, of Thermopolis, Wyo., passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born on January 20, 1947, in Rawlins, Wyo.
Bobbi once said in her high school commencement speech "Make it a good life, or don't. The choice is yours." She certainly lived her life that way.
Bobbi was a woman deeply rooted in her community and devoted to the people she loved. Early in her life she owned and operated a western store in Thermopolis, where her warmth, wit, and eye for quality made everyone feel welcome. Later in her career, Bobbi served as a high school secretary, a role she carried out with dedication and heart. She was a fierce advocate for her students, always ready with a smile, encouragement, guidance, and a listening ear. Family was the center of Bobbi's world. She loved gathering her people together, whether around the table for a home-cooked meal, out on the back porch or enjoying her hundreds of rose bushes in bloom. Cooking for others was one of the ways she showed love, and her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and connection. She also loved her jewelry, making stunning pieces that always had people commenting on them.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bert" and Juliana France; brother, Gordon France; sister, Mildred France Guaraglia; and her best friend, Carol Larson.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phillip Miller; son, Andy Gillilan (Staci); daughter, Shannon Gillilan Thronburg (Wade); son, Nathan Miller (Allison); granddaughters, Makayla McAlexander LaGesse (Mike) and Cree Gillilan; grandsons, Kane Gillilan, Kyson Miller, and Kirk Daves; and her great-grandson Forrest LaGesse. She leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength that will continue through each of them.
Bobbi will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. At her request, no services will be held.
