Peter 'Pete' Michael Rygwalski

1939-2026

On October 27, 2025, Peter (Pete) Michael Rygwalski gave up his fight against many health challenges in a Las Vegas hospital with his wife, Lola, grandson, Dr. Schon Roberts and granddaughter-in-law, Lowen Roberts in attendance. He has been cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a later date.

Pete was born in Offenbach, Germany, to Frank and Lisa Rygwalski. They moved several times, but ended up in Grand Junction, Colo. His sisters, Barbara Griffin and Monika Hedglin, and brothers, Steve and Jeff Rygwalski, are all younger and looked up to Pete.

Pete joined the navy and was sent to Vietnam where he came in contact with agent orange, which was the start of his many health challenges.

In 1994, Pete and Lola (Salzman) combined families. Pete added his son, Brian, and Lola added Vincent, Michele and Jeff.

Pete owned Pete's Plumbing in Thermopolis. After retiring, he had time to pursue his love of fishing, hunting and his 1970 Cadillac. Pete and Lola became snowbirds and divided their time between Wyoming and Arizona.

Brian has 2 sons Aidan and Austin now of Florida; Vince and Tami (Bower), now in Nebraska, have Jace; Michele (Schon and Shea Roberts) and Keven Fry added Jaron and live in Colorado; Jeffrey Salzman is in Thermopolis; Dr. Schon Roberts and Lowen have 5 sons and live in Las Vegas, Nevada.
