Karl Wurtz

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Karl Wurtz. He passed away at Wyoming Medical Center on June 17, 2025.

Karl was a cherished member of our community, and his family and friends. He touched the lives of so many with his warmth and unwavering spirit.

Karl was born on January 5, 1959, to Donal L. Wurtz and Jessie Gene Hunt in Thermopolis. He grew up with a passion for cars and also spent over 35 years working in the oil field industry. He was awarded the certifications in safety as well as many others.

Karl was known for his generous heart and the ability to share his mechanical knowledge with people of all walks of life. His life was a testament of love, resilience and dedication. He found happiness in family and friends, always making Tim for those held dear.

Karl is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Paul, Philip and Patrick (Stacy); sisters, Lelia Burchett of Thermopolis and Ruth (Paul) Brandle of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Zach, Kaden, Neveah, Addie, Jaden and GwenLynn Wurtz; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
